Wine house
At the highest point of a beautiful vineyard, between the rows of vines, we created a place where wine, food and architecture meet. The Gurdau Wine House is minimalist and elegant, yet original and respectful of nature — just like our wines. Since summer 2022, we have welcomed wine lovers and connoisseurs to enjoy them on our winery terrace with its breathtaking view.
First kick-off
The first sketches of the winery building date back to 2014. The planning process was full of thought, reflection and revision. After years of careful consideration, the final concept was born, defined by elegant rounded forms that sit harmoniously within the surrounding landscape.
Construction began in spring 2020 and was completed in March 2022. A winery set directly among the vineyards is rare in Moravia, allowing us to offer tastings in the very place where the wine is created, with humility and respect for the surrounding nature.
Building
Construction took two years to complete. The Wine House is notable for its unique architecture. Creating its rounded, precise forms required significant technical effort and innovation.
Interior
Every glass, piece of cutlery, table and bed reflects hours of thought and refinement. Our goal is for each item to fully express the philosophy and spirit of our winery. Here, you will find some of the world’s finest brands under one roof.

The house is built from reinforced concrete, its depth in the terrain and rounded form echoing the undulations of the landscape. Acacia and oak are used for the wall cladding, floors, terraces, blinds and interior details. Great care is given to lighting, the interplay of light and shadow, and the interior details and furniture by Daniela Hradilová, creating an impression that is simple yet deeply memorable.
