Pinot Blanc 2021

Vinohrádky

Delicate, playful, refreshing. Passionfruit, kiwi, pineapple, clementines, and honeydew melon to finish the intense, juicy tropical punch.

Taste of first apricot bite, sweet touch of orange marmalade spiced with ginger.

Crisp acidity and forest stream watery freshness add to the summertime feel.

Broad, appealing, fruity Pinot Blanc nose with good, fresh acidity. Well balanced and easy to like with, arguably, a bit more structure and freshness than the average Alsace Pinot Blanc. Really quite racy and attractive.

A sophisticated dry pinot blanc with aromas of spring meadows, crisppear and chamomile. At once succulent and vibrant this has so much positive energy, the finish bursting with cool climate crispness. It easily carries the tiny touch of unfermented grape sweetness on the mid-palate. Drink or hold. Natural cork.

A track with a dominant position directly above the Gothic church – you will see it as soon as you drive through the switchbacks from Hustopeče. We chose this breathtaking location for the construction of a winery, which will grow in the middle of the vineyards and you will be able to see all the way to Pálava. The vineyards stretch at an altitude of 248–287 m above sea level and cover an area of 4 hectares. The track is oriented southwest and is the only one that hosts all 3 of our white varieties.

Marek Sedláček

"Wine takes time and patience."
Winemaking is a constant process — a journey that never ends. Every day we think about how to do things better, more sensitively, and with greater respect for nature, place, and tradition.

The most important thing for us remains the work in the vineyard. It is there, between the rows of vines, that the grapes that form the basis of our wines are born. Each bush deserves individual attention — from working with the green part of the vineyard to deciding how much sun and space to give the grapes.

We run our vineyards in the BIO regime. It is important for us that the soil is alive. When the soil is healthy, the vines, plants and life around the vineyards thrive. The best certification for us is the bees that bring life to the landscape - and then sweet honey to the table.

As our vineyards mature, our approach to wines changes. We give them time, even if they could have been on the market for a long time. Some wines we release after two years, others we let age even longer to show their true character.

Our vision is clear: to let time speak and show the beauty and potential of the Gurdau wines. Imagine a wine list made up of multiple vintages. Each one tells its own story — the story of the place, the weather, the terroir, the development and our signature.”
