Riesling 2023

Vesnice Kurdějov

Delicate essence of Paradise. The fragrance of golden Ylang Ylang flowers evokes exotic sensuality, untamed wilderness, and natural elegance, while floral, fruity, and subtly spiced notes are complemented by deliciously sweet nuances. Captivating accents of jasmine, monoi, bergamot, and vanilla accompany this bouquet, creating a harmonious and graceful composition.

On the palate, the first impression is of crushed stones, which transitions into fresh, lightly bitter notes of lemon peel. A lithe structure and racy acidity set a lively pace, while concentrated layers reveal depth and richness. Luscious citrus—yuzu, grapefruit, kumquat—leaps from the glass, balanced by a lingering saline thread, while crisp green apple mirrors the cool elegance.

Bone dry, brimming with tension, yet perfectly harmonious—a tasting experience that unites power, delicacy, and balance into one unforgettable impression.

A range that includes Riesling and Veltliner. The grapes for their production come from an earlier harvest of our route vineyards. The quality corresponds to our route wines, but the style is lighter and fresher.

"Wine takes time and patience."
Winemaking is a constant process — a journey that never ends. Every day we think about how to do things better, more sensitively, and with greater respect for nature, place, and tradition.

The most important thing for us remains the work in the vineyard. It is there, between the rows of vines, that the grapes that form the basis of our wines are born. Each bush deserves individual attention — from working with the green part of the vineyard to deciding how much sun and space to give the grapes.

We farm our vineyards organically. It is important to us that the soil is alive. When the soil is healthy, the vines, plants and life around the vineyards thrive. For us, the best certification is the bees that bring life to the landscape — and sweet honey to the table.

As our vineyards mature, our approach to wines changes. We give them time, even if they could have been on the market for a long time. Some wines we release after two years, others we let age even longer to show their true character.

Our vision is clear: to let time speak and show the beauty and potential of Gurdau wines. Imagine a wine list made up of multiple vintages. Each one tells its own story — the story of the place, the weather, the terroir, its development and our signature.

"We give things time to be real. Each of our wines is then a reflection of the place where it comes from."
